Tablet Screen Size Debacle!

The most popular tablet, currently, is the iPad, of course.

The iPad holds a 9.7 inch display with a bezel for holding, but many critics of the iPad say that it's aspect ratio is terrible for viewing videos and movies on the goregeous display.

Recently announced tablets such as those from ViewSonic, BlackBerry and HP sport a widescreen display, which is great  for movie playback.

The problem is that people arent sure themselves about what they will do with their tablet device. Will said person always only watch movies, or will said person be browsing the internet or creating documents?

I side with Apple on the display size argument, only because the 16:9 aspect ratio does not feel right in the hands, and its bad for everyday tasks on a tablet such as typing, surfing the web and playing games.

  1. the iPad is one of the most great inventions nowadays

  2. I'm still pretty iffy on all this technobologna.

  3. The Ipad is such unecessary crap...Iphone / Ipod -> Great but the Ipad...why shouldn't I just take a notebook? I can do much more with it and it's cheaper

  4. its a luxury item at that. but the concept of the whole ipad seems like a portable desktop carrying around with you. the con is the keyboard interface. everything is else is pretty much drag and click. the post is great critic.
