Today marks the end of an era - one where we can call up Google and ask for just about anything.
When I first heard about GOOG-411, I just had to try it. What surprised me was that it actually worked! Everything was done through computers - no human interaction. It was simply revolutionary for people who did currently own smart phones with internet access.
I guess Google has decided that it's android platform and mobile search engine has grown so much that it was time to phase out GOOG-411.
I will always admire Google's direction in innovation, but this is not my decision to make.
RIP GOOG-411 !
